Tata Sky Broadband customers will shortly receive a free landline service, which the Internet service provider has revealed through a poster on its website. New developments would help bring Tata Sky’s broadband service closer to Jio Fiber and Airtel, both of which offer landline services along with their broadband services. Tata Sky is likely to offer unlimited voice calling to its customers with unlimited broadband plans. Tata Sky Broadband plans to have unlimited high-speed data benefits starting at Rs. 900 per month.
The free online landline service was teased online, with no information. The picture announcing Tata Sky Broadband’s latest launch carries a tagline reading, “Stream Unlimited. Unlimited Calling”. This indicates that the new landline service would provide unlimited voice calling benefits. However, the exact Tata Sky Broadband new feature launch date is yet to be announced.
Tata Sky Broadband has three monthly unlimited plans for clients to choose from. Such plans start at Rs. 900, go up to Rs. 1,100 and give Internet speeds of up to 100 Mbps. There are also options for selecting the plans available for three, six, and twelve months if a consumer chooses those benefits by paying the long-term rent in advance.
Notably, Tata Sky Broadband is not the first operator to give it’s broadband customers a free landline service. Airtel and Jio Fiber already offered landline services to their broadband customers. However, the move will allow Tata Sky to attract some customers as the company faces tough competition on the broadband market with BSNL, Airtel, and ACT Fibernet among the popular players. TelecomTalk first noticed the advertisement for the Tata Sky fixed-line service.
