Oppo is reportedly launching its new smartphone named Oppo A72 before the full design and specifications tipped. It is expected to be the elder sibling of the Oppo A52 and while the design of the two phones is more or less identical.
German site WinFuture.de reports that the Oppo A72 will launch in Europe shortly. It doesn’t suggest the pricing of the device but says that the recently launched Oppo A52 mobile will go on sale alongside. The report shared by official renders seen to sport a quad-camera setup at the back, inside a rectangular shaped module. The new Oppo phone will come with a hole-punch display design that will have a cutout on the top left of the screen. The upcoming Oppo mobile is almost identical to the Oppo A52 smartphone in terms of design.
Oppo A72 Specifications
The Oppo A72 mobile is listed to feature a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1080×2400 pixels) LCD and powered by the Snapdragon 665 SoC with 4GB of RAM. It comes with a 128GB of internal storage that can be expandable further using a microSD card slot. The Oppo A72 phone has a quad-camera setup with a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP wide-angle camera, a 2MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro lens. This mobile is listed to offer a 16MP camera.
Oppo A72 said to pack a 5000mAh battery. Connectivity options will include USB Type-C port, dual-band support, Wi-Fi, and 3.5mm audio jack. The latest Oppo phone said to include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
These specifications are almost identical to that of the Oppo A52 smartphone, barring the differences in the camera, storage, and few others. There is no word on the Oppo A72 price range, but it should be more expensive than the previous Oppo model. In China, the Oppo A52 priced at CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs 17,300), and the Oppo A72 smartphone is priced more than that.
